Since it is October and we are feeling spooky, we thought it would be fun to highlight on some of Nevada’s most haunted sites to visit. In researching this, we found some pretty creepy places that might be worth visiting.

Zak Bagan’s Haunted Museum

Las Vegas, NV

This museum holds 30 rooms packed with cursed collections of artifacts from around the world. An interesting fact is that you are required to fill out a medical waiver prior to your tour.

Flamingo Hotel & Casino

Las Vegas, NV

Supposedly haunted by mobster Bugsy Siegel. Guests have claimed to be woken up by a dark apparatus at the foot of their bed and have seen him to be lurking by the monument dedicated to him on the property.

Circus Circus Hotel & Casino

Las Vegas, NV

Room 123 was the site of a vicious murder-suicide where a mother killed her son and then herself. Guests have heard “Help Me!” cries and have seen the same words smudged into the bathroom mirror. The main kitchen has also seen 3 brutal murders.

The Luxor Hotel & Casino

Las Vegas, NV

Anywhere from 2-7 construction workers died when the walls collapsed on them - leaving their spirits trapped to haunt the halls of the now finished hotel. Numerous patrons have also hurled themselves from the inner balconies with no note left behind of a history of suicidal tendencies.

The Oasis Motel

Las Vegas, NV

In 1998, famous poker player Stu Ungar died in room 20 from a heart condition related to drug abuse. The next year, actor David Strickland hung himself in the same room. their spirits reportedly still haunt the room in which they died in.

The Hoover Dam

Las Vegas, NV

96 workers have passed away from drowning, explosions, rock slides, falling, or being struck by materials while on the job at the Hoover Dam. Unofficially speaking - this does not account for the several dozen workers that have died from injuries obtained onsite. Visitors claim to hear footsteps of feel cool hand-like sensations on their shoulders while on tour.

Abandoned in 1907 - all that remains are the scattered bits of bank, jail, and the train depot… and the spirits of those who lived their many years ago.

Goldfield, NV

Between the ghost of the mistress chained to the radiator, her baby tossed down a mineshaft, the hanged woman, or “The Stabber” - this is one of the scariest hotels on earth.

Mizpah, NV

A popular lady of the night lived and received her customers on the 5th floor until a jealous lover strangled her to death. Rumor has it, she still whispers sweet nothings to men in elevator.

Tonopah, NV

This motel is filled with thousands of clown figurines and is situated next door to the graves of 300+ miners killed in mining disasters…pack your bags!

Boot Hill Cemetery

Pioche, Nevada

Over 72 people died in one year in this small town - and not a single one from natural causes. This cemetery is the final resting place of 100+ murderers on Murderer’s Row.

Virginia City, NV

The saloon was a popular post-shift hangout for the crew of one of the most disastrous mining accidents in 1869 where more than 35 of them would later die from gas asphyxiation.

Reno, NV

Built on an old graveyard, the whole building experiences some paranormal activity. Floors 5 and 6 see the most activity from a poltergeist named Little Timmy.

Widely considered one of the most haunted cities on the planet, Virginia City boasts some of the highest frequency of ghostly activities and offers hourly Washoe Club Ghost Tours.
