Hospitality Groups Taking Over
For the last several years, consumers have been chasing the best dining experiences around the world. With the help of social media, it allows for people to find the flashiest coolest concepts that have individual personalities. Restaurant groups have gotten smart and investors are funding the groups so that they can get as creative as possible with their concepts, over the top build outs, and menu offerings.
Some of these hospitality groups own and operate anywhere from a handful of locations to over a hundred locations, and some of these groups are performing alongside of some of the biggest chains in America. For instance, Thompson Hospitality released that it is doing close to $1 billion in annual revenue across its’ 67 locations, which is on par with McAlister’s Deli, the 57th largest restaurant chain in America according to NRN’s Top 500.
National Restaurant News just recently partnered with Technomic to take a look at the 25 largest individually owned restaurant groups according to their unit count, article linked here.
In addition to that list, I wanted to provide my personal favorite hospitality groups that have continued to grow year over year and that I think you should definitely keep an eye on.
Enjoy!
